Climbing just got better in the Central NC Council. Last summer a new tower was added in the main field.
The new tower has much to offer. There are ten routes on the outside of the tower. Eight of the routes run the full length while the other two routes are half the tower. In addition to being able to rappel from the climbing routes there is also a free rappel route from the top and a rappel route at the half way point. Inside the tower there are a few bouldering routes about 20 feet high.
Some might not even be familiar with our older tower near the ranger’s house. This tower has four climbing routes at around 30 feet. In addition there are four routes that can be used for rappelling. There is a bouldering wall about 10 foot high that traverses the inside of the tower.
